Biography:
Cheng Chen is a second-year direct-track Ph.D. candidate at Zhejiang University, having previously earned her B.S. in Psychology from the same institution. Her research explores the intersection of natural therapies and mental well-being, specifically focusing on the restorative mechanisms of virtual nature. Grounded in established psychological theories, she integrates immersive technologies with behavioral and psychophysiological measures to investigate how simulated environments facilitate emotional regulation and stress recovery. Ultimately, she aims to provide robust experimental evidence for the application of accessible, nature-based interventions in urban mental health.
